Illuminate the Harbor: Fireworks Over Boston Harbor
On Thursday, August 28th, Boston Harbor Now and Meet Boston will light up the sky with the return of their renowned “Illuminate the Harbor,” a gorgeous fireworks display over the waterfront. The fireworks will be launched from a barge between the North End and Seaport and will be visible from many harbor-front spots. Grab some food and a blanket and enjoy a magical evening. The show begins at 8:30 PM, with live music starting at 7 PM in Christopher Columbus Park.
Red Sox vs. Pirates at Fenway Park
Nothing says Boston more than a summer night at Fenway Park, especially in the midst of an incredible season. The Red Sox face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates all weekend long. Catch a game on August 29th, 30th, 31st, or September 1st. Whether you’re a die-hard fan or just in it for the infamous Fenway Franks, it’s a quintessential Boston experience.
St. Anthony’s Feast: A Taste of Italy in the North End
Just a 15-minute walk from The Liberty, celebrate the 106th Annual St. Anthony’s Feast in the heart of the North End. From Friday to Sunday, enjoy a traditional Italian street festival complete with food vendors, parades, entertainment, and more!
Whale Watch with Boston Harbor City Cruises
For an aquatic adventure, head to Long Wharf and hop on a whale watch with Boston Harbor City Cruises. See humpbacks and dolphins as they make their way through one of the world’s top whale feeding grounds: Stellwagen Bank. After your return to land, swing by Alibi for a well-earned drink—our cocktail bar set in the hotel’s former jailhouse.
Weekend Markets: Shop Local
Spend Saturday browsing artisan goods at the Greenway Artisan Market or head to the Seaport Summer Market on August 30th–31st to find handcrafted treasures, delicious gourmet bites, and vintage finds. Both markets are perfect for grabbing a locally made souvenir or getting a head start on holiday shopping!
The Lawn on D: Music, Games, & More
Head over to The Lawn on D for live music, DJs, lawn games, LED swings, and local eats all weekend long! Admission is free, and good vibes are guaranteed.
Explore on Two Wheels
The Liberty offers complimentary bikes—perfect for a scenic ride along the Charles River Esplanade (don’t forget to grab your complimentary kayak), wandering through Beacon Hill’s cobblestone streets, or cruising through the Public Garden for a final glimpse of summer in bloom.
